Don't Gerbera daisies prefer to either have soil over the top of their crowns, or is way below the base of the stems when transplanting? I can't remember which it was?

Planting depth is very important. Gerberas branch heavily from the soil line, therefore the crown must be slightly above the soil line when planted.
