WHAT DOES THE SOIL NEED? WHAT SORT OF FERTILIZER DOES IT NEED. THANK YOU |
You didn't mention how old the lime tree is, where it's planted (in the ground or in a container), how much sunshine it gets and when it dropped all its leaves so I'm not certain I can help you. Citrus trees grow in sunny locations in Mesa and require deep watering about twice a week during the summer months. They are evergreen trees and should not lose all their leaves at once unless they've suffered from lack of water or too much fertilizer (which can burn the leaves). Because of our soil, citrus trees need iron about 3 times a year (Ironite is a good product) and should be fed 3 times a year with a citrus food in amounts as listed on the label. Since I don't know how big or how old your tree is, I can't recommend amounts. Hope this information is helpful! |
