I have 3 rose bushes planted in different areas of my yard that are not thriving and I would like to transplant them to a sunnier area. They are all very mature bushes, about 10 years old and about 4 feet high. They are flowering right now, so is it safe to dig them up now or should I wait? |
If you can wait until this winter (or very early next spring) your roses will make the move without too much stress. When they are dormant they will probably not even notice that they have been moved. If you move them now they will be stressed and may not recover until next spring. So, if you have a choice, why not make the move easier on your plants? Best wishes with your roses. |
