What kind of care does the Gerbera Daisy require? I had some last year in my flower bed and they came back this summer. I transplanted them in pots and they are doing great. I also bought 4 pots of them and they are barely hanging on. They are on my porch getting the same attention as the others from last year. They get morning sun and I keep them damp, but not soaked. What else can I do for them?

Also, the geraniums in the flower bed are getting 2/3 day sun, (all morning and afternoon till around 3:00) and some of the leaves are turning limish greenish yellow. What do I need to do for them? However the plants themselves are growing pretty well.

Thanks.

Since we don't know how long they've already been in the nursery pots, it may be that your newly acquired gerberas need to be repotted into slightly larger pots. Use fresh potting soil when you repot. Your geraniums probably need to be fed. The off-color on the leaves indicates a need for nitrogen. If you live in an area where the soil is alkaline, they may also need a dose of iron to help green them up.

Best wishes with your garden!
