Wait for the sprout to develop leaves. Once the seed has a large root mass and the stem has developed 3-4 leaves, you can transplant it into a container with potting soil. When you plant it, only cover half of the pit and leave the other half above the soil level. It contains food for the roots and it will eventually wither away.

Best wishes with your new tree!
