I bought a beautiful Spirea in bloom. All the blossoms are dead now. Should I deadhead the spent blooms? And will it bloom again? I thought these plants would bloom all summer.

Some spireas are spring bloomers (white flowered bridal wreath) and others are summer bloomers (flat topped flower clusters in pink, rose or white). If you have a summer bloomer it will flower again if you cut off the spent flower clusters. Since they bloom on new growth, remove some of the stem along with the spent flowers to encourage lots of new stem growth.

Best wishes with your garden!
