Grass seeds germinate best in cool weather - spring and fall - but if you keep the seeds moist (water as often as necessary to keep them moist), they should sprout and grow even in June. To maintain moisture you might want to lightly sprinkle peat moss over the seeds after scattering them. This will also help keep the birds from feasting on your grass seed!

Best wishes with your garden.
