I recently saw an advertisement in a little catalog for a flowering cherry bush that you could use for a hedge row. Are you aware of any such bush and would it grow in the tropical southcentral region (Louisiana)?

The plant is question is Eugenia or Surinam cherry. It is quite popular as a hedge plant in Florida so I think it would grow well in your gardening region, too.
