I bought some Lesco Weed and Feed for my lawn. It says to apply in Spring or early Fall. I was wondering if it is too late in the year now to apply the weed and feed and if this would brown my grass.

Weed-and-feed products should ideally be used in late fall or late spring. Late fall gives better results because at this time the weeds will translocate energy to the roots and in the process, the herbicide will also be transported to the roots and kill them. So if you apply now, the weed elimination process might not be as effective, but the fertilizer aspect should be just fine. Weed-and-feed products should be applied to a WET lawn and left on the surface for 24-48 hours. All other fertilizers should be applied to a dry lawn and watered in immediately. Best wishes with your lawn!
