Because candytuft is an annual, it should be planted/transplanted as early in the season as possible. If you move it while it is blooming it may stop flowering due to transplant shock. To move, soak the soil a few hours before the move, then dig a generous amount of soil along with the plant in an effort to disturb the roots as little as possible. Pop it into the new garden site and water it thoroughly.

Best wishes with your candytuft.
