You had given me some ideas for hedges for marking my property line here in SC. However, I also would like some that at least stay green all year round. I wouldn't want to have ugly leafless shrubs in the winter. Please give me some names that grown medium to fast, stay evergreen all year and require little or no maintainance. What about adding this shrub growth stuff to them. Will it give them a good boost? Or is that just bull if you plant them in good soil and all?

A variety of red cedar is for you then. Gurney's Seed & Nursery (110 Capital St., Yankton SD 75079; ph# 605/665-1930) sells one that requires little shearing to remain dense and can be kept at a reasonable height. It stands rough conditions (drought, poor soil) once established, but any shrub or tree planting will require mulch, some feeding and frequent watering during the first couple of years. I'm sure your local nursery can help you review some options as well.
