I am trying to grow my first hydrangea. I am finding ants are biting holes in the lower leaves. Help, what can I do? |
Ants don't usually feed on hydrangea leaves so I suspect that they are finding honeydew, the sweet sticky substance excreted by aphids. Check the undersides of the leaves for these pests. Once you get rid of the aphids, the ants will go away, too. Insecticial soap will get rid of the aphids. |
