I bought a Lupine, popsicle mix. I put it on my indoor patio. It did ok for a few days and even bloomed. But then it started drooping. I put it outside in the sun and it drooped even more, but in the morning it perked up a bit. I'm not sure if it needs more water or more sun. |
Lupines generally grow best in full sunshine. However, if yours was growing in the shade of the patio and you moved it into direct summer sunshine, it sounds like the shock was a bit much. Couple that with the fact that if it is growing in a container and the sunshine hits the container, it can literally bake the roots. Lupines are tough plants, though, and will adjust to full sunshine. The best thing you can do is either bury the pot in the ground or group several pots around it to help shade it from being hit directly by the sun's rays. Best wishes with your lupines! |
