Basil, Cilantro, Rosemary, etc was growing great in my backyard, but recently the herb's leaves turned brown and dry. I used a weed killer to destroy the weeds around the herbs before this happened. Do you think that this caused this to happen? Or what else may have happened to my herbs?

The weed killer is probably responsible for the death of your herbs. Most weed killers do not discriminate - they kill anything in their paths and the chemicals can go into the soil and leach into the root zones of your plants. Here's a suggestion - next time you plant herbs or flowers, cover the bare soil with weed block fabric or even several thicknesses of newspaper covered by bark or other decorative material. This will keep weeds from sprouting and you won't have to resort to weed killers around your sensitive plants.
