The Q&A Archives: BUG FREE SOIL

Question: i want to know HOW to get rid of the BUGS in my garden, how can i make my soil bug free?????????

Answer: You can't really get rid of all the bugs in your soil. Although not everyone is a fan, bugs are necessary for healthy soil, healthy plants, and a healthy environment. Most of the soil dwelling critters are there to help aerate the soil, feed on debris and other insect's eggs and just generally keep a healthy balance in nature. If you don't like gardening where insects live, you might try gardening in containers that you fill with potting soil. Potting soil usually remains bug free for several growing seasons. Best wishes with your garden!
