The Q&A Archives: cherry trees

Question: I just planted a van cherry a bing cherry and a mount rainier cherry. Will these all be enough to cross pollinate one another? Also, how tall does a bing semi-dwarf usually get?
Thank you,

Answer: You've chosen just the right cultivars for cross pollination so you should have a heavy yield on each of your sweet cherry trees. Semi-dwarf trees are medium-sized trees which require a growing area of about 15 feet in diameter. Semi-dwarfs can range in height from 10 to 12 feet and need annual pruning.
Best wishes with your cherry trees!
