Grapes will grow in clay soils. They need lots of sunshine and something to climb up on such as a trellis. When they are actively growing they will need lots of water. Your grapes should be pruned back every year. Fruit is formed on new growth that comes from old wood so when you are pruning, don't cut everything down to ground level but simply shorten some of the vines and remove some of the vines so you always have some old wood for new fruiting shoots.

They're faily simple to grow. Enjoy!
