I planted a garden 11 days ago. The seeds are starting to sprout, which is good. I have these huge ugly brown mushrooms that are inching up on my freshly planted garden. I have never seen these mushrooms before; how can I get rid of them? I live in a townhouse and the grass around my townhouse is full of these ugly brown mushrooms. What can I do? I don't want them to take over my garden. Help!

Melissa,

Those mushrooms are not a cause for concern. They will go away on their own. Such fungi are part of nature's way of decomposing organic matter back into the soil. They pop up from time to time but then we'll disappear again so I suggest you just ignore them or chop the tops off if they bother you.
