| I got a hydrangea plant in the beginning of the year. It started nice and green with blooms, but then leaves started dying so I transferred it to a bigger pot and put it on a shady place outside. It started to grow new leaves but it is growing very slowly. What can I do to better feed it, and place it in the right spot? |
| Hydrangeas need sunshine in order to bloom. The best place is somewhere in your garden where it will get morning sun and then protection from hot afternoon sun. You probably won't need to feed your plant but if you decide to, use a half-strength dilution of liquid fertilizer (such as Miracle-Gro). Plants in containers are subject to burn if you use granulated fertilizer so I'd recommend using Miracle-Gro. Best wishes with your hydrangea! |
