| I started out with a wild flower bed in 2005,With annuals and perennials. It is about 4 feet by 8-10 feet long. I wanted to put Knock-out Roses on the corners never did.Then my Mother got sick and moved in and passed away in 2006. S you can see what happened to the flower bed what would grow did and what died did including ME! Now I am trying to fix both the garden and me I really ned so much help. The flower bed gets FULL Sun All Day. I have plced mulch so it doesn't dry out so bad and tried to put the old wild flowers out when they look like me(tired & old).I need I lost my ideas for it and need help please when you have time if you can. | Karen, I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. First of all I am sorry to hear about your loss. It is never easy to lose a loved one, I know. Gardening is a great escape and therapy for all type of life's problems so I wish you well in your gardening efforts. Seeing gardens is a good way to figure out what you like. Before replanting spread 2 inches of compost into the soil and mix it in with a spade or rototiller. You may need to hire this done but it helps build the soil and plants will perform better. Fall is a good time for planting perennials, roses and flowering shrubs.
