how hardy is this plant? it is on a bank, part sun and part shade. it looks like a 4

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

That sedum needs lots of sun and very well drained soil. Soggy conditions are deadly but it can take drought. You can plant it at about the level it is currently growing. Then water it in and perhaps water again once or twice over a couple of weeks if it is hot and dry. Otherwise, once established it should survive on natural rainfall in your area.
