The Q&A Archives: Hibuscus bush

Question: I have 2 hibiscus bush that are very healthy looking.Foliage seems to be healthy, but no blooms at all.
I have been using liqiud miracle grow fert. every 4-6 weeks.Am I using too much fert? if so, is there anything I could do to make it bloom for this summer.
Thank you,
Virginia,Virginia Beach

Answer: Rose of Sharon, or hardy hibiscus, needs full sunshine and is a heavy feeder so I think you're doing everything right. Since it produces flowers on new growth you might try pruning them back a bit. This should encourage lots of new growth and lots of flowers.

Best wishes with your garden!
