Falling leaves - Knowledgebase Question

My 3yr old Red Bud tree leaves are rusty spotted & some have hole or chew marks on them Affected leaves are falling. Whats wrong?

If the holes are round they could be caused by insects, but are more likely where fungal spores were attached and after the tissues die, the spot drops out. The best control for rust is to spray your tree with Fertilome Broad-Spectrum Fungicide or Ortho's Garden Disease Control. Apply according to label directions. Best wishes with your redbud!
