The Q&A Archives: What is the name of this plant?

Question: Last year H.D. had a plant with a bloom or flower that looked like an eye. It was marble shaped, yellow with black in the middle. It arrived with the fall shipment of flowers. I would like to get one, but I don't know the name. Patty McGlumphy

Answer: If it arrived for fall planting, I'm sure it's a pansy. There are hundreds of varieties so I can't give you a specific name based on your description, but I bet you'll find tons of them arriving at your garden center in September. Enjoy!
