The Q&A Archives: Seeds on Sale

Question: I just bought some vegetable seeds that were on sale because they can't be planted anymore this year. Can they still be planted next year?

Answer: Yes, they can be planted next year providing they are properly stored. The best way to do this is to place the seed packets inside a jar (mason jars work well, or anything with a tight fitting lid), or into a sealable plastic bag and store your seeds in a cool, dry location. They will be just fine for planting next spring.

Best wishes with your garden!
