The Q&A Archives: Herb planter

What's the best soil, fertilizer, water and sun

amount for herb growth-- mint, parsley, dill? Also,
best in small, large pot or ground?

Answer: Susan,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

For success with herbs mix several inches of compost into the soil. Provide them any sunny location perhaps some mid-to late day shade. Maintain moist but not soggy wet soil. Herbs can also be grown in a container. Use regular potting soil when you wrote them in a container.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
