I planted black berries and raspberries this spring with no luck. We are in the foot hills and can we try again in the fall?

Brambles are best planted bare-root in February or March. That's when you'll find the freshest shipment in your local garden center so wait until then to replant. Usually blackberries and raspberries are easy to grow. You might take this time to amend the soil with some organic matter to help loosen it and drain quickly. Be sure to find the sunniest spot possible for your new berry plants.

Hope you have better luck with your next crop of plants!
