I would like to use ground cover for an area measuring 5 feet deep and 35 feet long. How much ground cover should I get? |
The number of plants you'll need depends upon which plants you're buying. Some can/should be planted closer together than others. Most will have a recommendation (i.e. plant on 6" centers). Here's a chart to help you determine how many plants you'll need, depending upon spacing: On 6? centers ? plants per square foot = 4 On 8? centers ? plants per square foot = 2.25 On 9? centers ? plants per square foot = 1.77 On 10? centers ? plants per square foot = 1.44 On 12? centers ? plants per square foot = 1 On 18? centers ? plants per square foot = .44 On 24? centers ? plants per square foot = .25 You have 175 square feet to fill. Hope this information is helpful. |
