I removed affected leaves, and the plant stems seem a little stronger today. I thought wilts were transmitted by soil. We only have volcanic rock anchoring the plants. |
| You're right, wilt diseases are soil-borne, but wilting is a symptom of a number of environmental stresses, too, such as heat, insect attack, and lack of OR excess moisture. Roots that are waterlogged can't absorb moisture. Check to make sure the roots are adequately aerated, and also inspect leaves for aphids, whiteflies, or other pests. |
