We have a planted container w/ annuals sitting on top of a larger container in which our daffodil bulbs are located (plants cut back earlier in the year). Are we harming the bulbs or inhibiting growth & development for next year's daffodil flowers? Thank you!

You won't hurt your bulbs at all. Many gardeners do exactly what you describe in order to have color through several seasons. The roots of the annuals won't harm the bulbs in any way. Enjoy your colorful container garden!
