the tropicana i planted last yr bloomed crazy. this yr it quadrupled in plants but no blooms. I have fertilized. what's wrong?

George,

There is more than one plant called Tropicanna so I can't be specific in diagnosing the problem. However if a plant doesn't bloom it is usually due to lack of aduquate sunlight or excessive nitrogen applications. Try backing off on the fertilizer and see if it settles down and starts blooming.
