The Q&A Archives: Irisis are dying

Question: I have two separate bunches of irisis. The old fashion purple irisis and the newer pink color ones. These two bunches are far away from each other. My pink irisis are dying. What do you think is causing this? Louisa

Answer: Cold, wet weather can cause root rot so I think I would dig up one or two of the pink ones and inspect the roots. If the soil doesn't drain well, root rot may be to blame.
