I'm trying to remember if this particular plant comes back after being cut back for the summer? It has done beautifully all spring and summer until just about a week or two ago, it quit blooming and acting as if it were through for the season. So, I cut it back to about eight inches from the ground.I'm thinking that last year I did the same thing and it grew out again and bloomed. this plant is about five years old. |
Cutting back your spiderwort after blooming is finished is a good practice. You may even get a second flush of blooms later this summer. It will come back year after year and doesn't seem to mind being cut back during the summer months. Best wishes with your garden! |
