I'm trying to remember if this particular plant comes back after being cut back for the summer? It has done beautifully all spring and summer until just about a week or two ago, it quit blooming and acting as if it were through for the season. So, I cut it back to about eight inches from the ground.I'm thinking that last year I did the same thing and it grew out again and bloomed. this plant is about five years old.

Cutting back your spiderwort after blooming is finished is a good practice. You may even get a second flush of blooms later this summer. It will come back year after year and doesn't seem to mind being cut back during the summer months.
