When and how often do day lilies need to be thinned? We have some that are 5 plus years old and they are more bushy and less flowers per plant. Each year they are bigger but less blooms. |
Danny, There is not a magic number of years, although every 4-5 years is a fair ball park number. It really comes down to when the clumps are crowded and less productive. The following web site provides excellent information on growing and dividing daylilies: http://pubs.caes.uga.edu/caesp... Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
