I would like to know if a desert rose would be viable in Georgia. (I've just relocated here from very south florida and had lots of large potted desert roses i brought with me in the move but they all died this past winter) I am about 40 miles NW of Atlanta. The temperature here ranges from 98 to 12. I can never find the desaert rose sold at any gardening shop. Should i buy online and try it, maybe the move traumatized my south florida plants ?

Janet,

Desert rose is fine as a container plant so you can bring it in for the freezing days of the year. It will freeze if you try to grow it in the ground outside.
