My front lawn is being taken over with crab grass. Weed and Feed has not helped at all. What can I put on the grass that will kill the crab grass down to its root? |
Aside from digging it out, roots and all, there's not any control strategy that will be effective now. Crabgrass is a warm season annual. I would mow regularly and tolerate it this season. Then next year in early spring you could put out a preemergence herbicide to prevent it from returning. It's easier to stop it in early spring when it is vulnerable than to try and kill it off now. Wish I had more solutions for you! |
