we had one of the best crops from our lettuce but now it is about 4 ft tall and starting to seed and the top can we use them next year also the same thing has happened to the bok choy |
Lettuce seeds can be collected and saved. They are tiny so it will take some work: allow the plant to produce a seed stalk. After the plant blooms and the flower forms a miniature "dandelion head," gather the seeds. Separate the seeds from the chaff by rubbing them with your fingers. Store in a cool, dry place for planting next season. Same with bok choy. |
