What veggies will thrive the best in a South Texas fall garden? What is the best way to keep the bugs out of my veggies without chemicals?

At this point in the season you can still plant beans and summer squash but it is getting near the end of their planting window. You can plant fall potatoes too now. In September the cool season vegetable planting time begins. The following web site has a planting guide that fits your area quite well.
