| I recently (Mid-June) planted a dwarf crapemyrtle which seems to be growing, but not blooming. It is in a sunny location, but was transplanted once since I thought it was not getting enough sun. Any thoughts? |
| I suspect your crape myrtle is simply spending its energy becoming established in your landscape. Crape myrtles bloom on new growth, usually in the spring. After the flowers are faded you can prune the tree back to encourage a second flush of new growth and a second flush of flowers. For right now, I'd just leave the tree alone so it can establish its root system. You should see flowers next spring. Enjoy! |
