I PLANTED A PEACH SEED IN A FLOWER POT HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF IT OR HOW DO I MAKE IT GROW? |
Believe it or not, peach pits will sprout when laid on their sides, seam side up! You've chosen a difficult seed to germinate, though. The peach pit will need a 3-4 month period of chill before the seed will germinate. So, now that you have it in a flower pot, water the soil when it begins to dry out so that the soil will keep the peach pit moist and either put the flower pot in the refrigerator for 3-4 months or set it outside in a protected place where if will be exposed to cold temperatures. In the spring the seed should germinate. Good luck with your new peach tree! |
