The Q&A Archives: trimming a peach tree

Question: Hello ! Please help me find information about how and when to trim an established peach tree (approximately 8 years old). Also, should it be fertilized? (when and in what amounts?) Thank you very much..... Antonietta Richardson

Answer: Antonietta,

The following web site will answer these and other questions about caring for a peach tree:

Fertilize with a lawn type fertilizer. Apply it to the entire area beneath the branch spread of the tree at a rate of 1-2 cups per inch of trunk diameter. Apply it in early spring at bud break and again about 2 months later.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
