We have a Chinese Pistasch (emony mus) tree that is losing leaves already (august) leaves are yellow , and dropping quite rapidly
daily. Isn't it too early for this to happen ? I do not recall it doing this before.
Can you help ?
Thanks

Chinese Pistache is a drought tolerant tree but will often drop leaves early when heat and water stressed. This is the tree's way of reducing photosynthesis to cope with dry summer weather. There's nothing you can do to stop the leaf loss because the process has already begun. But next year, if you keep your tree well watered, it should retain its leaves until fall and show color at the correct time.

Best wishes with your landscape.
