The Q&A Archives: Killing weeds and more

Question: I have some weeds growing in my rose box. I also have some wild flovers growing in it. I planted wild flowers in a bed just for them. But some of the seeds got in the roas box. I have pulled the weeds and the wild flowers out over and ovr and they kep coming back. HOW CAN I KILL THEM AND NOT HURT MY ROSES!!!!!

Answer: Chuck,

Your options are to either keep digging them out with their roots until they are gone, or to wipe a weed killer such as glyphosate (Roundup) on the foliage of the weeds without getting it on any desirable plants. Spraying is probably too risky since the weed killer spray can drift.
