Hi there. I have a few lirope plants and something is eating them to the ground. Should I tear them out, replace them and then put something on them so whatever it is wont come back OR should I just put something on them to keep the critters away and hope the lirope grow back? What do you think?

The most common lirope pests are slugs and snails. Rather than tear them out, try sprinkling one of the iron-based slug and snail baits near your plants (Sluggo or Escargo are two brand names). The slugs will feed on the pellets instead of your plants and your plants should recover before summer's end.

Best wishes with your garden!
