What kinds of mums are perennials?

Although it is hard to find named chrysanthemums in garden centers, look for those that include the term "hardy" on the plant tag. Otherwise you'll get the more tender "florist's" mums which will die out after flowering. As long as it is labeled "hardy" or "perennial" it should winter over in your garden.
