The Q&A Archives: dead heading

Question: how do you dead head a hibiscus?

Answer: It really isn't necessary to deadhead hibiscus the way you would deadhead other flowering plants. This is because the hibiscus flower lasts only a day and once it closes up it will wither away and fall off the plant all on its own. The stem and sepals will turn yellow and fall off the plant within another day or two, as well.
