Mango Tree - Knowledgebase Question

My Dad started two Mango Trees from pits about 6 yrs ago and planted them. 1 died last yr due to the cold even though I covered it. However I have never received any fruit from them. I have feed them and cover them in the cold to protect from frost. What am I doing wrong?

It takes a long time for a seedling tree to grow and reach a maturity level that can bear fruit. The trees you mentioned are not old enough to bear. Depending on the growing conditions this could take a few more years. The following web site has info on growing mangoes in Florida:
