Privacy from neighbors - Knowledgebase Question

i have 6foot fence next to a new house that is quite large. we want to have differnt varities including maybe queen palms, red tips, and possibly bamboo. we have not done a master landscaping plan and we want to make sure what we plant compliments each variety. this area gets 5+ hours of sun

any thoughts/suggestions would be welcomed.

That is a pretty wide open question. The plants you choose depend on your personal aesthetic preferences. Look around area neighborhoods for ideas that appeal to you. Visit the Dallas Botanical Garden. When you decide what you like then just keep in mind that sunlight is needed so don't plant a taller tree type plant above a shrub or bamboo. Make sure all plants get good sun exposure. If you choose bamboo, select a clumping type, not a running type as these can be invasive.
