The Q&A Archives: Early Fall?

Question: Not sure but are we getting an early fall. Lots and lots of leaves in my yard. Will I need to plant my bulbs earlier?

Answer: Even if the weather is changing early you won't need to plant your bulbs any earlier than usual. Bulbs need a minimum of 12-16 weeks of cold weather and a few weeks more won't hurt them. Go ahead and plant in September, October or November and they should be just fine.
