We have 4 fort-night-lilies that have become way to wide and tall. How much do you prune and when? thank you. James Chunn

Sounds as though your fortnight lilies need to be dug and divided. If they are overcrowded they won't bloom well. So, this fall or winter dig the plant and divide it into several new plants (each division should have roots with leaves attached). Replant your fortnight lilies and next spring they'll grow and bloom for you. Enjoy!
